we would like to inform you about an important upcoming change to the electronic data exchange protocols used within our services.
As part of our ongoing transition to more secure, cloud-supported technologies, the FTP protocol will be disabled in the DEMO environment on August 4, 2026, at 08:00 AM UTC.
For the FINAL environment, FTP will not be disabled on that date. Instead, we will conduct a thorough verification to ensure that all customers and their active FTP connections (in both DEMO and FINAL) have been successfully migrated to secure, AWS-supported protocols to avoid any disruption on FINAL environment.
Once we can confirm that FTP is no longer in use, the protocol will also be deactivated in FINAL. The exact date and time will be communicated via Trust as soon as possible.

Scope of this change:
This applies to all data transfers where Siemens: • operates as an FTP server, or • connects to customer FTP servers.
Both inbound and outbound data transfers are affected.
Specifically, this impacts connections to and from our FTP servers: • FINAL system: ftp2.ax4.com / 194.153.114.150 / Port 21 • DEMO system: ftpdemo2.ax4.com / 194.60.78.110 / Port 21
Over the past months, we have proactively contacted customers with active FTP connections through our Case Management System to support a timely migration to alternative protocols. Therefore, we do not expect any data loss or connectivity issues.
If you have not yet responded to our requests about FTP Migration, we kindly ask you to contact us immediately via your open case to ensure a smooth transition.

Background:
FTP is an outdated and insecure protocol and is not supported within AWS environments. As part of our cloud migration from on-premises systems to AWS, we are adopting secure alternatives such as SFTP, AS2, and HTTP.
Please note that the DEMO on-premises environment for SFTP, AS2, and HTTP was already decommissioned on June 23, 2026. For OFTP2, the DEMO on-premises environment will be decommissioned from 18 August 2026 at 05:15 AM UTC (07:15 AM CEST). Migration planning and implementation for the FINAL environment will follow shortly.
We are managing this transition with the highest level of care and diligence to ensure a smooth migration without service interruptions.
